Can you imagine what could have happened in the Garden of Eden after Eve took the first bite of the forbidden apple, the fruit of knowledge and then even Adam, prompted by the evil serpent took the next bite?  Artist Deepu David provides an answer.  Adam and Eve, then mated, mated and mated until they were banished from the Garden and fell on the earth. Even on earth, they did not do anything else except mating.  Finally their act bore fruit and the first child on earth was born.  Since then, descendants of Adam and Eve have not been able to come out of this vicious cycle.

 Artist Deepu David has used his infinite imagination to present pictorial interpretation of this tale from the Bible.  The artist hails from Tamil Nadu.  He was born and brought up in Delhi, where he gained education up to 12th standard.  Art had taken roots in him right in his childhood days.  He has been making drawings since the age of 9. After finishing his school education, he embraced art as a full-time career.  Most of his works have been produced on consignment basis, a fact that has become an eternal feature of modern art market where budding artists have to make compromises on every step just for survival.

 The artist takes these obstacles as challenges.  He feels confident that one day he will surpass them successfully.  Deepu uses simple ball-point pens of blue, black, red and green colors to make masterpieces on paper.  His series of paintings on Bible stories have been done in pen and ink on paper.  He is equally deft in using oil or acrylic colors on canvas.  A number of his works are in oil on canvas.  These are mainly decorative paintings, which according to the artist, can be displayed in drawing and living rooms.
