MEENU GOYAL A New Delhi based contemporary painter - her style is marked by meditative landscapes and symbolic representations of nature expressed through lush colours and detailed study. Her pieces carry an ecological message of conservation and provide an escape from the trappings of urbanity. In her adolescences, Goyal faced temporary loss of vision due to a debilitating case of meningitis. During this time, nature provided her refuge. She resumed painting under the guidance of a gracious art teacher many years later, and her choice of colours echoes the respite she felt. She has honed her skills through a diploma in Fine Arts from Tapan Academy and continuous practice in various mediums including watercolours, graphite, and acrylics. She uses art as a tool for community building and social development. She continues to find inspiration in local cultures creating distinct pieces offering an intimate window into various artistic practices. Her work has been exhibited at the American Center in New Delhi, Lalit Kala Academy, World Art Dubai, World Art Singapore, and Index Art Fair with private collections and commissions held across India, Dubai, and Singapore.
