Mitali Asthana is an artist and expressive arts facilitator based in India.

Her work is rooted in an exploration of emotion, identity, and the quieter, often unspoken inner worlds we all carry.

She primarily works with portraits, drawn to the subtle expressions and presence a face can hold. Alongside this, she also explores landscapes approaching them as spaces of stillness, pause, and reflection.
Her practice moves between detailed cultural imagery and softer, more atmospheric compositions. While her portraits hold richness and character, her landscapes bring a sense of openness and calm, together reflecting a balance between what is seen and what is felt.

Her work as an expressive arts facilitator informs her process in a natural way. She paints intuitively, building layers of color and texture, allowing each piece to develop its own mood and presence.
Her work invites a slower gaze - offering moments of warmth, quiet, and connection within everyday spaces.
