Mousumi is a contemporary artist whose work spans from the figurative form to atmospheric landscape . Guided by intuition and emotion, she creates paintings that evoke a sense of quiet contemplation, inviting viewers into spaces where memory, mood, and imagination converge. Through subtle colour transitions, layered brushwork, and expressive mark-making, her work emphasizes suggestion over detail, allowing forms and narratives to emerge gently.

Though she has no formal academic training in art, Mousumi’s artistic journey has been deeply enriched through mentorship under eminent artists Smt. Shobha Broota and Shri Ashok Bhowmick. Their guidance has helped shape her distinctive visual language while encouraging a practice rooted in exploration, sensitivity, and personal expression.

Mousumi has exhibited in solo and group shows in India and abroad.

Currently she lives and works in Gurgaon.
