Rajeev Kapoor is an art collector, design entrepreneur and creative director whose
longstanding interest in sculpture has evolved into a personal journey of collecting,
curating and creating sculptural works.
His fascination with sculpture lies in the relationship between form, scale, material,
texture, light and space—and in the ability of a single sculptural form to alter the
character and emotional experience of its surroundings.
His journey began with an appreciation for distinctive sculptural forms and gradually
developed into a deeper engagement with the creative and production process. Today,
through OlbiaHomes, Rajeev explores sculpture not only as an object of collection, but
as a form of spatial expression.
His work is particularly interested in the dialogue between sculpture, architecture and
interior space, with an emphasis on works that can create presence, conversation and
identity within their surroundings.

My journey into sculpture began with collecting.
Over the years, my fascination with sculptural form developed into a deeper interest in
understanding why certain forms create a sense of presence within a space. I became
increasingly drawn to proportion, scale, material, texture, light and the relationship
between a sculpture and its surroundings.
That journey gradually moved me from collecting and curating towards creating.
I am a self-taught independent artist developing a body of sculptural work through
observation, experimentation and collaboration with experienced craftsmen. My practice
is particularly interested in the space between art, design and architecture—creating
sculptures that can exist as independent works while also engaging with the
environments around them.
I am interested in forms that create a moment of pause. Movement, balance, tension,
stillness and human expression are recurring areas of exploration.
My work is developed in close collaboration with skilled makers in Vietnam, where ideas
are translated into physical form through prototyping, material exploration, casting,
finishing and refinement. All are fully cast stainless steel, not made and available in India.
For me, sculpture should not merely occupy space.
It should give space a presence.
From collecting sculpture to creating it.
