I am Subrata Malakar, hailing from the historic city of Kolkata, India. I graduated with First Class honors in B.V.A (Western Style) from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata, in 2006. I enjoy working with various mediums, including oil paint, acrylic paint, mixed media, tempera, and watercolor. However, my recent focus has been on watercolor paintings on paper and acrylic works on canvas.

My artistic subjects often revolve around the city of Kolkata, Banaras Ghat, and other historical sites, as well as mythological characters and stories. I am also drawn to exploring human psychology and its reflection in nature. Watercolor is a particularly challenging and transparent medium that I greatly appreciate.

I have participated in numerous exhibitions across various cities and galleries in India.

I am passionate about my artistic journey and find great joy in my work.
