Sunita Lamba has always tended to experiment with different media for creating her nuanced images in steel, stone, bronze, fibre, glass etc. In her hands, all these media find a magic touch, which has not only been appreciated by discerning collectors in India but also globally. The universal appeal of her works came to the fore during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where her work received widespread appreciation during the Olympics Fine Art 2008 show, where she won the Gold.
A Painter & Sculptor for over 40 years, Sunita, who also worked with Oberoi Hotels and resorts for 28 years as a Graphic Designer, has completed her Post-Graduation in Applied Art. Her work is admired for its humanistic quality and depicting a certain warmth which connects her creations to the audience’s sensitivities. For no work comes to life without intelligent interaction with a sensitive audience.
Ever since her first exhibition in 1990, she has displayed her works in over 100 group and solo shows. Her works adorn the collections of several private collectors in India and abroad, corporate houses and hotels.
She works out of her studio at Lalit Kala Akademi’s Artists’ Studios in Garhi, East of Kailash.
