A young boy in a bright orange shirt stands on a giant rupee coin, looking down at the small coins in his hands. Behind him, a grey city skyline of tall buildings rises against a warm, glowing background, with a second coin hanging on the right. The painting contrasts childhood innocence with the pressure of money and growth in a modern city. Strong orange and teal tones lift the figure from the textured, earthy surroundings. It carries a quiet social message about hope, work and dreams, and makes a powerful large-format piece for homes, offices and galleries.
