A weathered female torso in bronze-gold tones stands against a bold red and black background. On the right, a large vintage alarm clock sits calmly, while torn pieces of a green banknote hang above like a heavy cloud. The painting compares the value of time, the pull of money and the quiet beauty of the human form. Textured strokes and rough, collage-like patches add depth and a worn, historic feeling. The bright red field gives the work strong energy, balanced by the calm, downcast face. A thought-provoking piece that suits modern homes, offices and collectors of contemporary art.
