A man sleeps curled on a striped floor in front of a grand, old colonial building, as if the whole city is part of his dream. A large Roman-numeral clock floats in the fiery orange-red sky behind, reminding us that time never stops. The building is drawn in dark, fine detail, while the sleeping figure glows with golden skin tones. Warm reds, oranges and yellows give the painting an intense, nostalgic mood. It speaks of memory, rest and the heritage of the city. A rich, atmospheric artwork with a strong story, ideal for living rooms and heritage-loving collectors.
