An eye caught inside a red crosshair watches from the upper corner of this layered composition, while a muscular man hugs his own shoulders, lost in thought and unease. Warm reds, olive greens and cream blocks form an abstract city-like background marked with fine lines and pins. Below, against a deep black field, a reclining female figure rendered in soft, stone-like texture rests in calm contrast. The painting explores privacy, vulnerability and the feeling of being observed in modern life. Strong, bold and emotional, it suits collectors of contemporary figurative art.
